No. Rent is paid by R&P case managers the first couple of months, and then clients need to pay themselves. EQUUS may be able to offer TANF and TPEP some rental assistance.

Encourage the client to call the Akimbo card line to report the fraud. You can also help your client to make an online account to check if there are any mysterious charges.

How do people qualify for the transportation benefit?
By marking how many days you job search at the bottom of the timesheet. DES will write a check for $10 per day per adult job seeking, and mail it to the client or IRC.

Yes. Their cash will only be released once both parents have met with EQUUS and submitted their first timesheet.

What does PPP stand for?

The client's rent costs more than Cash Assistance provided with PPP programs. What do I do?
Ask the case worker to apply for funds to cover the rest of the costs. If you are a case worker, apply to IRC, city, state, or private funds to cover funds until client is working. Make a plan with the client. Also, make sure clients know that they always have to save money from the prior month to pay rent on the 1st since cash is always provided the second Tuesday of the month.

What is the Differential in PPP?
TANF/TPEP cases get their cash benefits split between their EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card and their differential card. The Differential is the total per person amount from RRP (Refugee Resettlement Program) minus what they received that month on their EBT card for Cash Assistance.

No. They are not involved with EQUUS at all. RCA clients only work with the RCA Coordinator.
