Hinduism is the oldest religion in the world (3,500 years old). There is no single founder. There is a blend of beliefs. Gandhi was an important Hindu leader of India. Gandhi led protests against unfair treatment (lower caste system) and against British rule (unfair taxes;salt tax). Gandhi used non-violent methods of protest which later influenced civil rights leaders like MLK. The main god of Hinduism was Brahman. The sacred text was the Vedas.
