The current principle at St. Matthew's Catholic School.

This color is used during Ordinary Time. It is also the most commonly used color at Mass throughout the year.

The prayer that Jesus taught us.

This saint had a special connection with animals and was very poor.
Who is St. Francis?
The day we celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe.
What is December 12?
The three priests at St. Matthew's.

The color used during Advent and Lent.
What is purple?
The prayer we repeat when we pray the Rosary.
What is the Hail Mary? or What is the Ave Maria?
He is an angel. His prayer is in your prayer journal.
Who is St. Michael?
The most important celebration in the Church year. It is central to our faith and it takes place at the end of Holy Week after a really long Mass.
What is Easter? or What is Pascua?
It was mysteriously stolen in 2005, so the community made a new one. It's located above the altar, hanging from the ceiling.
What is the crucifix?
This color is only used two times during the entire year. It represents joy, but some priests don't like wearing it.
What is pink?
A long prayer we say at Mass that explains what we believe as Catholics. (It's in your prayer journals!)
What is the creed?
You can pray to this saint to help you when you have lost something.
Who is St. Anthony?
We celebrate this at the end of Easter. It has to do with the Holy Spirit.
What is Pentecost? or What is Pentecostes?
The year the current St. Matthew's church was established.
What is 1965?
This is the most rare color. It used to be worn by priests for funerals, but these days priests use the color white.
What is black?
A special prayer that we sing during Sunday Mass, Solemnities, and Feasts. We sing it near the beginning of Mass and it represents the song the angels sing when Jesus is born.
What is the Gloria?
Legend says that he got rid of all the snakes in Ireland.
Who is St. Patrick?
The number of days we celebrate Easter.
What is 50?
The year the original St. Matthew's School was built.
