Limitations:

Speed Limit- 250kts

Max Altitude- 18,000 MSL

No flying for compensation or hire

Max Occupants- 6 passengers

Max Gross Weight- 6,000 lbs

600

How does moisture affect Stability?

Moist air -> Less Stable

Dry air -> More Stable

600

you have an aft CG that is within the Envelope, for a Da40NG. does this mean the weight is in front of or behind the wings?

In front of the wings.

most rearward CG limit is 99.6

600

800

Using Temp & Dew point, how can you find cloud base?

Temp - Dewpoint = temp dewpoint spread/ 4.4= Answer x 1000= Cloud base

800

Why does High density altitude effect performance.

Air is less dense, less air through prop, less thrust produced, less air over/under wings, less lift.

800
Why is it that when we have a ECU A Failure our engine still is running?

This is due to our planes having two ECU's. We would still have ECU B which is connected to our ECU bus and also We would still have our ECU Backup batteries.

Engine performance

Prop efficiency

lift

1000

Weight Shifted x Distance Shifted/ Total wight = change in CG

1000

Explain the operation of the thermostatic value.

Pressure from the coolant pushes on a stopper with a spring behind it, opening and closing the different circuits
