Which student might need 'more time' prior to starting work, or beginning work with a preferred task versus a difficult task?

200

Are the IEP and the Insurance treatment plan the same thing?

NO.

There may be overlap between programs, but insurance emphasizes medical programming, while the IEP emphasizes academic programming.

Behavior does NOT occur in a vacuum. We believe that behavior reduction directly relates to skill acquisition. Academic demands are often less preferred activities. We are working to increase tolerance of less preferred activities and at the same time decrease maladaptive behavior. You can work on both things at once, it is just important to acknowledge if you are working on it from a medical, or an academic emphasis.

What is Mixing and Varying Reinforcement and why is it important?

Changing the type of reinforcement you are using both within sessions and across sessions.

In short, keeping things interesting! Often, this will require changing things in their view. Students may request the same things again and again, but they also may not know that new things are an option!

Sample new reinforcers, play with new toys to model different skills, etc.

400

Which is the appropriate way to write those who were present at the session?

A) Full staff name, Full student name, note if peers present  in the 'also present' category

B) First name is only required component
