An instructive talk/reflection delivered by a bishop, priest, or deacon that reflects on the scripture readings for the day
What is the Homily?
The prayer typically rehearsed after the homily/before the prayers of the faithful that contains the following: "I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible."
What is the Nicene Creed?
Someone who is in heaven, recognized for living a life of "heroic virtue" and serving as an example for others. Usually canonized and named as 'patrons' dedicated to different areas of life such as healing, children, etc.
