What is a Complaint?

What is 10 Bargaining Units?
This individual is an employee of the department who also represents the Union and defends the interests of their fellow employees as a Union member and official.
What is a Job Steward?
If applicable, the last step in the grievance process for represented employees.
What is Arbitration?
This section of the Collective Bargaining Agreement stipulates the conditions and the parameters of an employee's rights when facing disciplinary action.
What is the Right to Representation?
This Union represents the most employees in the State and CDSS.
What is the Service Employees International Union (SEIU)?
This individual must first approve any requests for time off due to the need for providing representation.
What is a supervisor?
The number of days you have to respond to an informal grievance discussion.
What is 7 calendar days?
This section of the Collective Bargaining Agreement stipulates the administrative and operational capabilities of the State.
What is Management Rights?
This law gives CDSS employees the right to join a Union.
What is the Dills Act?
The right to representation does not exist during ONE of these types of meetings.
