Coombe, Folse, and Ubuley (2007) A Practical Guide to Assessing English Language Learners is used in evaluating both Diagnostic and Achievement tests as well as in-class assessments.

What is our goal to provide first-rate English language instruction and cultural orientation to non-native speakers of English in order to improve their English proficiency and prepare them for academic study. Specifically, we mostly admit students who are seeking admission to ISU and are conditionally accepted there. Our mission statement also says everyday English instruction, so that covers those who aren't conditionally accepted.
During the last Revision and Review cycle of Student Services Practices the follow decisions were made.
