What are all of the checkpoints of Mitosis and briefly describe each checkpoint?
The checkpoints of mitosis are the G1, S, and G2. In the G1 phase, cells increase in size and synthesize new proteins and organelles. All of the cellular contents are duplicated (excluding chromosomes). In the S phase, the chromosomes are duplicated. In the G2 phase, the cell "double checks" for any errors made in duplicating the chromosomes.
