how does lululemon determine/test warmth ratings?
To determine our warmth ratings, we work alongside a third party to test our outerwear in a controlled environment.
We test styles on a heated mannequin set to mimic the average human body temperature and measure how well warmth is retained.
This gives us insights into the microclimate both inside and outside the jacket, allowing us to categorize styles into differing levels of warmth.
What are the performance properties of ThermoChannel™?
Locked in warmth. The benefit of Thermo Channel construction is that it holds insulation in place to lock in warmth.

What is natural insulation?
Goose down is the light fluffy undercoating. When grouped together, down forms clusters with air pockets in between. The heat generated by your body is trapped in these pockets, keeping heat inside the garment and the cold air out.

What is Primaloft?
Prima Loft insulation is our go-to synthetic option and has been an industry leader for over 25 years.
Prima loft was originally approached by the US Army to create a synthetic alternative to goose down that performed when wet because when goose down gets wet it loses its loft and therefore the ability to trap and retain heat, both goose down and Primaloft are industry-leading insulation technologies that give us incredible warmth without the weight and are easily compressible
What is high warmth?
