Superficial
terms that relate to structures within the body
Ventral
Body parts in front of the plane, or on the front of the body.
Superior
Body parts above other parts
Ventral Cavities
Separated into two parts that are used for breathing
Thoracic Cavity
Located in the chest and contains the esophagus, trachea, bronchi, lungs, heart, and large blood vessels.
Transverse Plane
A horizontal plane that divides the body into a top half and a bottom half.
Unilateral
Which side of the body are affected by certain pathological conditions.
