Jackie Robinson was the first Black baseball player to join the Dodgers. Although many people didn’t accept him at first, he didn’t give up and worked very hard to keep playing baseball. Later, he was named MVP and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Jackie Robinson opened doors for many other athletes to be treated equally. Today, we wear jersey number 42 to honor and remember him.
