Children go from house to house colelcting wicks for the Chanukah Menorah. They would sing in their language, "O father Salim, give us a present." They receive wick-ends with fruits, candies, and coins, and when they do, they respond in Hebrew, "Sleep Well." But if they didn't get anything, the would respond in their language, "You miser, may your wicks be as dry as your bones."
