Begins at 2 weeks and continues through the first birthday. Infants develops the foundation for motor, thinking, language and social skills.

Study of the factors involved in the passing of traits form one generation of living beings to the next.

Are always in control and are very strict on the children. Strict rules, tell the kids what to do, and often use punishment as a discipline.

The couple retires and adjusts to this change in lifestyle. This stage lasts throughout life.
Aging Stage
Families in which adults provide temporary homes for children who can't live with their birthparents.
Foster Care
Begins at three years and ends at the sixth birthday. Child becomes more self-sufficient and develops a rather stable self-concept.
Preschool stage
Includes all the conditions and situations that affect the child.
Environment
Tell the children to think about consequences of their behavior. Have rules and expectations but usually focus of the good rather than the bad.
Democratic
The couple focuses on guiding their children through the school-age and teen years. The stage lasts until the children leave home.

Families form when a parent dies, parents divorce or separate, or a single parent adopts.

Begins at 6 years old and ends at 12. Exposed to school learnings. Learn self control.

Includes all the traits that are passed to a child from blood relatives

The parent doesn't explain what the child does wrong, just punishes them. They like to have total control of the child.

The couple's children begin leaving home to live on their own. This stage ends when all children have left home.
