Mobile Vet Practice
The area where history is taken, exams are performed along with simple treatments. Need to be clean and odor-free.

Veterinary Assistant
A Certified Veterinary Assistant is an assistant who has also passed the CVA exam through American Allied Health
A veterinary facility that treats companion animals as well as livestock and horses. Likely will have a large animal facility on site as well as utilizing a mobile unit
Mixed Practice
Used when a typical exam room environment is not desired, such as discussing a complex treatment plan or a euthanasia procedure. Typically will have more comfortable seating and be in a quieter area of the hospital.
Consultation Room
Objects or materials which are likely to carry infection: cloths, food/water bowls, bedding, furniture, etc

Veterinary Technician
A veterinary practice that works exclusively with pet birds, reptiles, and small mammals.
Exotic Animal Practice
Usually includes the pharmacy and laboratory areas.
The Middle
Provided by an employer and worn by employees to protect them from various hazards
Personal Protective Equipment

Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA)
The ONLY team member that can diagnose disease, prescribe treatments, and perform surgery. 4 years of undergrad before attending an accredited college. Must be licensed in the state in which they practice and take national and state exams.
Veterinarian/DVM
Also called a specialty practice, this will employ veterinarians in specializations such as orthopedics, oncology, internal medicine, or surgery.
Utilized when care or diagnostics are needed beyond the capabilities of a companion animal practice
Referral Practice
Includes radiology, surgery, treatment spaces, kennels, and isolation wards. Do not call it "The Back"
