Similarities and differences between mixtures and solutions.
What is elements or compounds are mixed together but they are not bonded to each other. In a mixture, different materials are placed together but do not form compounds. Simple mixtures can be easily separated. A solution is a special mixture in which substances spread out evenly and will not settle. In a solution, the solute is dissolved in the solvent. The amount of solute that can be dissolved in the solvent (solubility) is a property of the substance.
