Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) This is a components-based treatment model that incorporates basic elements of cognitive behavioral, attachment, humanistic, empowerment, and family therapy models. TF-CBT helps with emotions and intrusive thoughts related to sexual abuse, DV, traumatic loss, acts of violence, terrorism, and other traumatic events/SLEs.

Define "polyvictimization". Are they at a higher or lower risk for mental health concerns?

Polyvictimization is the experience of victimization across multiple domains of a child's life (e.g. home, school, community). Children/Adolescents that experience polyvictimization not only suffered more serious forms of trauma but also showed highest trauma symptom scores. They are at higher risk for mental health concerns.
