he did not agree with the Whig on renewing the bank charter. This was one of the whigs main beliefs, because of this, members of John Tyler’s cabinet resigned and he was kicked out of the party. The whigs party was only united in their dislike for the Democratic Party and therefore struggled to agree on many things. This eventually led to the formation of the Republican Party.
