The Age of Exploration included a lot of evil things, and yet it also brought a lot of good into the world. How is it good news that God uses broken people to do good?

This is good news because we too are broken. It shows me that God is greater than my wickedness and brokenness. More than that, in Christ we see that God draws near to us in our brokenness sinfulness to make us new. We are dirty people, but God comes to us in our filth to wash us clean with his own hands.
