The "Lionaire" is the title she was given after defeating the final captain in the arena battle. She will be powerful, decisive, and brave in order to protect them.

They need the scroll to bring magic back, but if magic is no longer a threat his father - the King - might let Zelie live.
Why is the King suddenly willing to kill Amari?
Because in thinking that Zelie killed Kaea, Amari too had a role in her death

Right now she doesn't know if Inan betrayed them/if he can be trusted. Plus, she knows he's always been more swayed by their father's teachings than she has. So she must step up and make a better world.
