Do we include children in the assessment if they're in CPS custody?
You can if CPS is writing a reunification letter.
If a client is here as a refugee, can they use TANF?
Yes, as long as they have paperwork showing they're actively in the states as a refugee.
Clients partner works, but client is searching with employment counselor, can they move forward?
Yes, as long as family meets the six months within a year requirement.
When should a Family start applying for a unit?
Immediately as long as they can pay for applications.
What program can a client use if they have a job but less than 6 months of work history?
TANF and CoC
Is there a limit of how many children can be added to the assessment?

Can friends be added to TANF assessment if we have all their vital documents?
No, TANF only recognizes a household as a unit that is dependent within each other. Roommates are not recognized.
If an adult has disability they will be able to utilize TANF.
Inconclusive- Only time we would be able to move forward is if the SSI will cover the entire rent payment once they're off program.
