How long should a circle time last and what should you cover?
No more than 10 minutes for children under 3 years old. Kids should walk away feeling accomplished, not overwhelmed. Focusing on one theme all week will help solidify the idea/song/letter/ect.

What are the ratios for 1, 2 and 3 year old programs? And in what situation would the ratio need to increase?
1 year old- 1:4 2 year old- 1:6 3 year old- 1:10 The ratio is always smaller when swimming.

It is okay for kids to use the buddy system?
No, children should never be left one on one with a staff or with another child. Example: If one child needs to go to the bathroom, everyone goes

Child Medications should be kept where?
Depends on the kind: If it is something to be used everyday it should be kept in a lock box and administered at noted times. If it is an 'in case of emergency' medication, like an epi or inhaler, should always be kept in the backpack with an authorization to administer form with it.
