These two leadership positions are required to establish and maintain a preschool and student program.
What is CS (Children's Supervisor) and ACS (Assistant Children's Supervisor)?
All children must have a designated adult on site to be able to attend BSF.
What is True? An adult must be present for a child to attend class or seminars- this ensures quick response in the event of an emergency.
This number of adults is required for EVERY SPACE where children are in the care of BSF.

A child may attend BSF Equips sessions (formerly Seminars) without their BSF Adult.
What is False? When a child attends a BSF Equips session (formerly Seminar) their BSF Adult MUST be present.
All Leaders and regular volunteers must complete a background check every other year to be eligible to work with kids.
What is True? Leaders and volunteers have background checks every other year to maintain eligibility to serve in the Kid's program with yearly recertifications.
CLs are encouraged to establish relationships with students outside of BSF to expand opportunities for discipleship.
What is False? Class staff, leaders, and regular volunteers are not to have contact with kids outside the classroom- including social media.
These students may attend Seminars with their BSF Adult.
Who are High School Students? There is no childcare during Seminars, but if a child comes with an adult, they can stay as long as they aren't disruptive.
The Two-Adult Policy applies to Leaders, but also to these special people.
Who are volunteers?
The CLs do not need to be familiar with the procedures for handling suspected child abuse, as long as the TL is informed.

A Children's class may be conducted with just one Adult as long as the class size is low.
What is False? No Children's classroom is established until two leaders are trained to lead it.
The number of times a Children's Leader or regular volunteer can help with kids without a background check.
What is 3 times? When someone has served twice, we ask them to complete a background check.
In a student or preschool program, all CLs are asked to be aware of signs of child abuse or neglect in their students, but this Person is required to report suspected child abuse to the proper authorities.
Who is The Person who suspects child abuse or neglect? Failure to report known or suspected child abuse is against the law in the US. The person who suspects the child abuse is required to report this to the proper authorities.
Anyone may bring a child to BSF.
True. Anyone with permission form signed by the parent or legal guardian may bring a child to BSF and be designated as that child's "BSF Adult."
This age group of students can be allowed to go to and from their BSF Classroom by themselves.
What is High School?
The relationship between these two leaders will model what co-leadership looks like for CLs. Unity and support of each other will benefit the Children's Program.
Who are the CS and ACS? The CS and ACS are informed of and ensure the compliance with all policies and procedures of the Children's Program.
BSF extends a one-time grace regarding lack of compliance with background screenings.
What is False? BSF has a ZERO-tolerance policy regarding lack of compliance with background screenings.
This leader is allowed to have outside contact with children and students outside the classroom.
Who is no one? Class Staff, Leaders and Regular Volunteers are not to have contact with children outside the classroom, including social media interactions.
A child may be dropped off by their BSF Adult for class even though their Adult is not planning to stay for BSF that day.
What is False? When a child attends class or BSF Equip sessions, the BSF Adult must be present.
These persons can assist a child to the bathroom.
Who are two adults? Two adults must accompany a child or student to the toilet, and one must be a Leader. The second adult must be able to see the Leader and child. This is part of BSF’s Two-Adult Policy.
Two Adult Policy is negotiable in certain curcumstances.
