Take your lunch break in a different space. If you don't have a different space, remove all work-related paraphernalia from your line of vision.
Schedule life activities in the same way that you would schedule work tasks.
How can you respect your time in the workplace?
1) Not doing uncompensated labor (no working overtime if you are not getting paid to do so)
2) Feel comfortable turning down assignments where necessary and possible
3) Disconnecting from work during your lunch break and after-hours
Out of respect for yourself and your labor, it is important to create boundaries re: your time (where possible). We know... it is easier said than done, but you are a precious and finite resource! Remember that when you are being made to feel otherwise!
How do you proofread your cover letter to ensure that it is error free?
Read it out loud. Read it again once you have saved it as a PDF.
Give it to a family member, friend, professional, or furry friend to look at.
Make sure that you are referencing the correct organization (hack: include the org name in the file title).
When should you start saving for retirement?
So serious.... Totally depends on your individual financial situation, but as early as possible!
It likely will be beneficial to at least learn about accounts like Roth IRAs and employer sponsored plans!
