Similarity: both were Greek cities, both worked together to fight Persia. Spoke same language. Had same gods. Went to Olympic games, feasted together. Differences: Sparta had two kings, army focus, women had more rights, not a city of art, poetry writing. Athens had democracy, more art focused, no king, more intellectuals etc.
