2023 - The subject heading was originally designed to help customers search in our catalogue for independent Toronto musicians. Over time, it became harder to define what remained "local" or "Independent" and the heading sometimes meant inconsistent, misleading results that did not necessarily reflect the diversity or changing nature of Toronto's local music scene.
