What is Delegation Time, and what role does the Leader play during it?
Delegation Time is a time during the camp when each delegation meets separately with their Leader. They can plan their cultural activity, talk about their feelings or just chat.
It is a perfect time for the leaders to ask their kids how are they feeling (fist to five), if they are going to the bathroom, etc.
What is an Excursion Day and how many are usually there during camp?
A day when the camp leaves the premises to visit a place of cultural or recreational interest. There are usually 1 or 2 excursions per camp.
What is a debriefing?
Debriefing: A structured reflection session held immediately after an activity. It uses guided questions to help participants process what happened (What?), reflect on how they felt and what they learned (So What?), and connect those insights to real-life situations and CISV values (Now What?).

Kiitos is a song in nordic languages that we sing after every meal to thank for the food
What are the differences between a leader and a staff?
- Leader: responsible for one delegation, main support person and role model for the kids, take part in the activities, etc
- Staff: responsible for the programme as a whole, oversees overall wellbeing, plans and coordinates de programme, etc.
What is a cultural activity?
It is an activity that every delegation prepares to show to the rest of the camp their culture/ a current issue in their country.
What is the main difference between a National Activity and an Open Day?
National Night is a themed evening organized by a delegation to showcase its culture; Open Day is an open day where visitors, host families and the local community get to know the camp.

What is a camp meeting and who can call one?
It is a meeting where the KIDS decide essential aspects of the camp like the schedule. The participants and the adults (leaders and staff) can call a camp meeting whenever the feel like it's needed.

A child tells you something serious in confidence but asks you not to tell Staff. What should you do, and why?
The Leader should listen calmly, take the child seriously, and reassure them that they did the right thing by speaking up. However, they should not promise to keep the information secret.
If the information involves a safeguarding concern or something that could put the child or someone else at risk, the Leader must inform the appropriate Staff member and follow the camp’s safeguarding procedures.
What is Local Impact Day and what is its educational objective for 14-year-olds?
A day dedicated to doing volunteer work or a local community project to connect the camp's values with the social reality of the environment.
