They pay for: buses, running water, and trash collection. Citizens can vote to raise or lower taxes and they can vote on how taxes should be spent.

Branch one: Lawmakers- They make laws to improve their communities and the state. Branch two: Governor- Makes sure laws are carried out. Branch three: The courts- Courts make sure laws follow the state and national constitutions.

Congress makes up the legislature and is separated into two parts the House of Representatives and the Senate. They make laws for the whole country. The Supreme Court is the head of the judicial branch. They decided what laws mean and if they obey the constitution.
