What is Freedom of Speech?
This amendment says you have the right to not self-incriminate. That means you don't have to tell on yourself.

You can write whatever you want about the government in your newspaper or online because of this right.

This Amendment says the police need a warrant to search your home or your car.

This branch of government is the one who writes the laws.
What is the Legislative Branch?
This is the highest court in the country. Nine judges make decisions about lower courts.
What is the Supreme Court?
This right lets you gather peacefully with a group to protest something you don't like.
What is Freedom of Assembly?
This Amendment says you have the right to a lawyer.
What is the Sixth Amendment?
This branch interprets and explains the law. It has the Supreme Court.
What is the Judicial Branch?
In this type of case, people argue over property or money.
What is a civil case?
This right lets you tell the government to change something you aren't happy with.
This Amendment says you have "hidden rights" in the Constitution. Just because it is not written down in the Constitution doesn't mean you don't have the right to go to school.
What is the Ninth Amendment.
When a president says "no" to a bill he does this word. Be careful, it has the same 4 letters as a word that means you tell someone who you want for president.
What is veto?
This is the name given to a judge's decision on a court case. It means the case is over.
