When you enter the doors of the school, what would be a polite thing to say to the teachers greeting you?
Say "thanks for holding the door", or "good morning", or greet them with a fist pump.
If you have a question, what should you do?
Raise your hand and wait for the teacher to call your name before speaking.
When going through the hallways, how should you move?
Walking, along the right side of the hall (unless you've been bitten by a radioactive spider over the break and are now able to climb walls and ceilings, in which case that is acceptable)
What are our two options for recess?
Going out on the yard or going off school property (if you've been approved). Hanging out in the washrooms or hiding in the stairwell are not great choices.
If you're having an issue with someone, what should you do?
Talk to them in a friendly way. If the situation is serious, you may tell a staff member.
When you get upstairs, what should you do with your belongings?
Put them into your locker or bring them into class, depending on what it is.
If you have to go to the bathroom, what should you do?
Cross your index and middle finger until the teacher gives you a nod to go. When the teacher is teaching is not a good time to do this, unless it's an emergency.
What should you do with your hands as you walk down the hall?
Keep them to yourself and off of other people (unless we're doing the conga).
If there is an issue on the playground, what should you do?
Tell a teacher or admin right away. There are ALWAYS multiple staff outside. Don't wait until after recess, get it resolved right away.
You heard Sally say that Briella spread a rumour about you. What should you do?
What should you do with wet shoes?
Leave them in your locker. Do not bring them inside the classroom.
When are you allowed to sit at another desk?
After asking the teacher and them approving it. Sometimes the answer will be no, in which case you have to trust that the teacher has a valid reason for saying that.
Where should you wait before leaving the class?
You line up alongside the bookshelf.
During lunch, what should you do with your food?
Hopefully it's obvious, but EAT IT! Please don't throw it or leave it on the ground.
If you see someone being left out, even if they aren't your friend, what should you do?
Invite them to hang out or work with you. You never know, you might make a friend!
What should you not do in the hallway when you arrive at school?
Treat is as a place to hang out and talk with your friends. You're allowed to talk to them in class when you arrive, so please enter the class promptly.
When are you able to talk with your desk partners?
When you know you're switching subjects, what should you do to get ready?
Take out whatever you need for that subject, like a duo-tang or notebook, put away your other things.
Where does your garbage go?
In the garbage can. The floor does not qualify as a dumping ground. Let's keep our class clean!
Tell them that it isn't a good idea and you're not going to put yourself in a situation you could get hurt or in trouble.
What should you take inside the classroom?
Everything you need for the day. This could include a water bottle, pencil case, sweater, etc.
When you are given a task to do, what should you do?
You should do the task, without complaining :) The faster you start the faster you'll get it done.
How should your desk look before leaving for recess?
Neat with nothing but a water bottle on it.
When the bell rings at the end of lunch, what should you do?
Put your lunch away right away. If you didn't eat everything in your lunch, you still have another lunch break to do so. If you were talking the whole lunch and didn't finish, that's the decision you made and you will not be permitted to finish during class time.
Your friend is upset and doesn't want to talk to you. What should you do?
Respect their boundaries and give them space. When they're ready to talk then you should talk with them and resolve the issue.
