This animal goes by two names, and can live even where it is the coldest. The males grow large antlers, but the females grow antlers too. It is known to live in herds, and loves to eat plants. (Hint: its popular to see pictures of this animal in the winter)
What is a Caribou/Reindeer?
This animal is closely related to the salamander, they are even the same Genus, but usually cannot leave the water as an adult. People keep them as pets, but in the wild they are now only found in one freshwater lake in Mexico.
What is an Axolotl?
This is probably the most famous animal character on the planet. He wears red overalls with white buttons.
Who is Mickey Mouse?
This type of animal's classification has took over a 100 years to catch on. Even though scientists figured it out long ago, it was tough to get people to realize. This type of animal is just a dinosaur, but because we see it everyday, people don't like to call them that.

This bird is accurately named, because when it sings, it just says its own name. It is usually grey, white, and black coloured. (Hint: Its name starts with a Ch)

This animal has a stripy tail, and is found only on one island in the wild. This animal has a grey body, and likes to climb in the jungle.
What is a Ring-tailed Lemur?
The closest living relative of the Hyrax and Sirens (Dugongs/Manatees). This type of animal can be found in Asia and Africa in the wild, and is well known for its long nose and upper lip that it can move and grab with. This animal can even use this body part to paint, and can suck up water with it too!
What is an Elephant?
This character has a long tongues, which it uses to protect itself and collect food. It lays eggs, but they don't often make babies, instead producing money, fungi, plants, and more. This character can come in many colours but green is the most common.
Who is Yoshi the Dinosaur?
Originally classified in 1758, without the scientist even seeing the animal, for a long time it was believed there was only one species of this animal. Now, scientists believe there may be four species of this critter. This animal is often talked about for its height.
What is a Giraffe?
This animal's name sounds like it would be about space, but really its about the shape of the animal. It normally hangs out underwater, moving around with its face pointed down, eating everything it can. It sometimes has 5 limbs, but there are also some with 10, 20, or even 50 limbs.
What is a Starfish?
This animal's name means fat and round. It comes from New Zealand, but now lives on farms and in zoos all over the planet. The have a short snout with small "tassels" dangling from it. Though people imagine this animal in mud, it usually just likes to hangout in the shade on soft grass.

This mammal loves water, spending almost all day in the water, only coming out at night to graze. This animal's closest living relatives are called cetaceans: Whales, Dolphins, and Porpoises. This animal is one of the largest herbivores in Africa.
What is a Hippopotamus?
This is the most important animal in Western movies and was important for Barbie. Despite the fact that the characters of Westerns are named after something else, this animal always makes an appearance.
What is a Horse?
This animal has the least creative scientific name, it is the same name three times in a row. This animal was at one point believed to be basically the same as its cousins in Asia and Africa, but it's closest relatives are cows.
What is a Bison? (Bison bison bison)
This animal has no brain and many arms. It is see-through and can defend itself just by touching predators with its arms.
What is a Jellyfish?
This animal's name makes it sound quite ferocious, like what you may check for under your bed. It lives in some of the hottest areas in North America and is said to have one of the most painful venoms around, despite being very unlikely to kill an adult human.
What is a Gila Monster?
This animal's closest living relatives are the giraffe and okapi, as they are both what scientists call Pecorans. It is found in the prairies, known for its speed and its odd headgear where it has an extra nub jutting off the front. (Hint: it does not have antlers)

This animal is famous for the noise it makes. When you hear an eagle in movies, it is actually the sound this bird makes. Its name is all about the colour of part of its body.
What is a Red-tailed Hawk?
This animal has moved around a bit in classification. It was at point believed to be related to raccoons, then it was believed to be closely related to a bear. Now however, it is in its own group, close to raccoons, weasels, and skunks but different. These animals have a colour in their name, and are only found in Asia.
What is a Red Panda?
This animal has really good hearing. It can actually talk to others from up to 15 kilometres away, making long distance calls simple. It uses these sounds to keep up to date and to make plans for hunting. This animal is one of the best hunters on the planet.
What is an Orca/Killer Whale?
This animal is known for its tail. Its name is the same as a short haircut, where the hair is about jaw length and usually straight. If that doesn't help, this animal has funny ears, as they have a hairstyle of their own.
What is a Bobcat?
This animal is part of a group of animals that all walk using an odd-number of toes. This makes it related to Rhinos and Tapirs, who walk with 3 toes (Only in the back for Tapirs). The animal only walks on one toe, however. Though it has some closely related cousins, this animal can be told apart because it is usually smaller, has larger ears, does not neigh, but can be ridden.

This character has an adopted daughter who is grey and named after a valuable rock. He is red and owns his own business, that is named after the type of animal he is. The type of animal he is has really strong claws.
Who is Mr. Krabs?
This type of animal is not a "True Bug," because it has a pupal stage in their life, where it goes through metamorphosis. Almost all types of this animal has a body part called an elytron, or elytra, which are a hard set of wings that cover part of their body. Some types of this animal are "Rhino," "Hercules," "Elephant," and "Volkswagen."
