The stones are SEATS. No standing on the stones or hopping from stone to stone.

How do I know what computer to use?

Each student has been given a specific labelled computer.

Where do I put my waste, recycling, and garbage when dismissed to pack up my snack/lunch and what do I do if I don't know where it goes?

Food waste goes into the Green Bin. Recycling waste goes into the Blue Bin. Any other waste goes into the black garage bin. If you are unsure, you need to ask an adult or refer to the posters.

What do we do during Blacktop Only recesses?

These recesses are "Walk and Talk" only. No balls, running games, etc. are allowed. If the climber is okay to be on, and it's our day, we can go on the climber. It is important to check with the teacher on duty first before doing this to ensure the climber condition is safe.

After you are ready for dismissal, where do you line up as a class and why?

Kids meeting parents line up in the classroom along the whiteboard. Students going to After-care programs line up on the end of the carpet facing the classroom door. We do this to create more space in the hallway for students getting ready for hometime.

What happens if someone talks while walking down the hall?

We go back and try again.

What is the expectation after you have put away your lunchbag, you are ready for recess and the bell rings?

Stand quietly at your own locker. We wait for the teacher on duty to dismiss our specific class. This is for safety so that not everyone is running at the same time.

Explain how any games with a ball work on the field? For example, a soccer game.

There can only be one soccer game at a time. Each grade has a specific time and date. There is a designated area of the field where we play soccer. Any other ball game, for example football, can be thrown, but away from the soccer game in the middle field area - away from the stepping stones.

1) feet first down the slide. 

2) No running on the climber.

3) No hanging upside-down on the monkey bars.

4) No balls, or equipment on the climber.

What does it look like when the class goes out to meet the parents?

We stand on the side of the landing that is clear. We gather behind the teacher, without shouting out. You will raise your hand when they see your parent/person picking you up, and then you will be dismissed, when you describe/point out your parent/person picking me up. We do not just run to our parents.
