What should you do with your phone at the start of the school day?
Silence your phone and place it in your backpack
It is YOUR responsibility to be your best self as a learner. What are some things that you should do to be your best as a learner?
Do your be organized ( agenda, backpack, etc), come prepared to class ( pencils, notebooks, etc), manage your time (set time to do school work), be on task (listen, read directions, focus, complete work), ask for help
What are the expectations for the beginning of class?
Get your materials, sharpen pencil and complete the warm up.
If someone makes an off-task statement, what should you do?
Ignore the statement and continue to do your work.
When can you go meet with Ms. Gaby?
when you have a pass or she comes in an gets you.
How long do you have to transition from one classroom to the next?
5 minutes
What is the homework expectations?
We do not have usually daily homework, however, unfinished classwork may need to be completed at home and work accumlated when absent must be completed at home.
What do you do if your teacher signals for attention using the countdown?
Stop talking, eyes on your teacher and listening ears
If you see someone off-task on their device, what should you do?
Politely tell them to get back to work or Snitch. It's okay. In the long run, you're doing them a favor.

What should you do if you do not understand a concept that is being taught?
Raise your hand and ask a specific question.
What are the expectations for the last few minutes of class?
Clean and straighten your area, gather all of your belongings, and wait to be dismissed.
What is the expectation about remaining in your assigned seat?
You should remain in assigned seat at all times. Wandering is not allowed. Only get up if you have permission.
What are the consequences for not following classroom procedures?
You will receive a first a warning, second a reflection and third referral and call to parent.
What are the expectations if you are absent from class?
You are still required to complete your assignments. Be responsible for asking your teacher what you need to make up.
What are the expectations for group work?
Stay on topic/stay focused. All group members must speak and work equally together to complete the task.
When is the best time to use the restroom in order to maximize learning time?
Use the restroom during the transition between classes, during break, or IF necessary, at the beginning of independent work. Never interrupt instruction.
What is the expectation when I am speaking or another student is sharing?
Keep silent and listen. If you have something to add, raise your hands and wait to speak.
What are the expectations for group work?
Collaborate respectfully, stay on task and at assigned area.
What are the expectations for your chromebooks?
Bring them to school everyday. Have them charged or bring a charger. Take care of chromebook.
TRUE OR FALSE: When doing INDEPENDENT work, it is okay to ask your partner for the answer or sneak a peek at your neighbor's computer screen.
FALSE: Independent means not dependent on another. This means you work ALONE. This is the time to assess your own learning.
