This is what you should do immediately after entering the classroom, before the bell rings.
What is going directly to your assigned seat and taking out your materials?
This is the sign language or hand signal used to ask to go to the bathroom without interrupting class.
What is raising your hand with three fingers?
When walking in the hallway as a class, your voice level should always be set to this.
What is Level 0 / Silence?
This "R-word" means treating your teacher, classmates, and property with care and kindness.
What is Respect?
This is the first gentle reminder you will receive if a rule is broken.
What is a verbal warning?
This is what you do with your lunch/snacks in the morning.
What is leaving them in your backpack - no eating first thing in the morning?
You must take this object with you whenever you leave the room to go to the restroom.
What is the hall pass / bathroom pass?
This is how far apart you should stand from the person in front of you when lining up.
What is an arm's length / personal space distance behind the person in front of you, not beside?
This is the non-verbal signal the teacher uses to get the entire class’s attention.
What is using the RAIN STICK?
During the school day, cell phones should be placed here and in this mode.
What is in your backpack and in silent mode?
If you arrive after the bell has rung, you must bring this item to class.
What is a late slip from Ms. Faubert?
This is the best time during class to ask to use the restroom.
What is during independent work time (or non-instructional time)?
When walking down the hallway, our class always stays on this side of the hall.
What is the right side?
When someone else (a teacher or classmate) is speaking to the room, your job is to do this.
What is active listening/keeping eyes and ears on the speaker?
If minor misbehaviour continues after a warning, we will take the next step.
What is a reflection time/seat change?
This is where you should look every morning to find your opening task or Warm-Up/Do-Now.
What is the SMART board?
This policy restricts bathroom breaks during the first and last few minutes of class.
What is the 20/20 Rule?
This is what your hands, feet, and objects should be doing while standing in line.
What is keeping them to themselves?
Doing your best work and taking ownership of your actions is called being this.
What is Responsible?
Repeated infractions or severe behaviour issues will lead to this contact with home.
What is a call/email to parents or guardians?
You should do this with your desk area before leaving for break.
What is cleaning up trash and pushing in your chair?
While using the bathroom, you must do this.
Be respectful, do not leave a mess and don’t linger.
If another teacher or administrator stops to speak to the class in the hallway, you should do this.
What is stop, remain quiet, and listen respectfully?
The official policy on eating food or chewing gum in the classroom.
What is no eating during class time; gum is ok, as long as it ends in the garbage once done.
This group reward can be earned when your group consistently leaves your area tidy.
