What must you do if you have a question?
Quietly raise your hand and wait to be called on, or wait for the teacher to come to you.
Are you allowed to touch the Plushies?
Not without permission.
What is the first thing you should do when you get to class?
Come in quietly, take out materials and start warm-up/bell ringer.
What do you do when the teacher, or a student she called on, is speaking?
Who should you ask when you don't understand something?
The teacher!
When can you go to the bathroom?
When it's not direct instruction.
Where should you wait when the bell is about to ring?
Stay in your seat. If people start lining up at the door before the bell, we will stay in class.
Are you allowed to eat in class?
No, unless I give you a treat or the first 10 minutes of 1st period only.
When I am teaching, our voices are at what level?
Zero!
Can you move to work with others?
Depends on the activity and if you are working well.
When can you not go to the bathroom?
During the first and last 5 minutes of class. Also, you cannot go during "direct instruction."
When can you sharpen your pencil?
Anytime as long as I am not talking during instruction. If I am talking during instruction, I will signal when its good to sharpen.
What is another rule that we have not already gone over?
Always be kind and respectful!
What should you use to write with on classwork?
A pencil. We DO NOT use markers, colored pencils, or crayons to write with.
When announcements begin, what should you do?
Stop what you're doing, be quiet and listen attentively.
How do you enter the classroom?
Walk quietly to your seat, follow directions and start your warm-up or bell-ringer.
When can you use my Chromebook?
Students can use it when they have an activity or assessment online. Otherwise, there is no reason to have your Chromebook out
How do you show that you have an answer or comment in class?
Hold up your index finger and wait to be called upon!
What is never permitted at school or in this class?
Food and cellphones/earbuds!
Can I talk to help my friend during the lesson?
Please try not to.
What happens if you refuse to do any work in Mr. Vargas's class?
I call your parents/guardians immediately.
What do you do when you need a pencil?
Ask for one however bins will be provided with pencils to BORROW.
What happens if your absent?
Email me about any work you might miss.

To ourselves!
What do you do if Mr. Vargas makes a mistake during the lesson?
Raise your hand and correct me! I am human and we all make mistakes.
