Mask Questions
In the classroom, when is the only time it is okay to take a mask break?
When the teacher tells us it is okay, when we are seated, no one is walking around and we are at our desk or our sit spot.
How should we treat others in our room?
With kindness and respect.
Specials are the same for the whole week and change weekly instead of having different specials on different days.
What do we do before we take our mask off?
Hand sanitize or wash our hands?
Does everyone at school have to wear a mask?
Yes.
Where can you take mask breaks outside?
Anywhere outside once you are 6 feet apart.
What should we do if someone is bothering us?
Ask for space, ask for a break, speak with a teacher, respectfully keep your distance.
What time is snack every day?
Right after special or 10:50 AM.
What do we do when we come in to the classroom in the morning?
What do you do when someone is speaking (teacher or student)?
Listen respectfully, only one voice at a time.
Is it okay to take your mask off and start talking to your friend at their desk?
No, you need to be at your desk and each have masks on.
What should you do if you hear someone being unkind to someone in our class?
What time is lunch and recess every day?
Lunch is first at 12:30 and Recess is right after at 12:55.
What do we do if we are having snack or lunch in the classroom?
What do we bring home from school and always bring back to school the next day?
Can you switch masks with someone else in the class?
NO
What can we do if we are feeling upset or worried?
Try different calm down techniques (ex: press elbows into desk, push palms onto desk, push feet into the floor)
When do we have Word Study?
In the morning at 9:00 AM.
What changes each day about recess?
Our station. We stay only in our station and our station rotates each day.
What does social distance mean?
It means staying distant (3-6 feet) away from our friends during the school day, at recess, etc.
Snack, 11:00 after snack, Lunch, Recess and end of day!
What should we do if we see someone standing alone at recess?
Ask them if they would like to talk or hang out with you and your friends (socially distant of course) or ask if they want some space and give it to them if thats what they want.
When is dismissal?
3:10 PM
What is the routine for the bathroom?
Ask the teacher to go, then bring your bathroom pass and hang it on a magnet spot. Wash hands for 20 seconds and don't forget to bring your mask back!
