What do I do if I need to sharpen my pencil?
You place it in the blue cup and grab a new pencil from the yellow cup.
**If there are no pencils sharpened, then I raise my hand and ask the teacher to sharpen it.
How do I get the teacher’s attention?
To get the teacher's attention, I raise my hand.
What is homework and when is it due?
Homework is a review of content we've already learned in class. It is due the day after it was handed out. However, in the case of an emergency, you have until Friday to turn it in.
What happens first if I chose to break a classroom expectation?
What do I do if I don’t understand how to do an assignment?
I raise my hand and ask for help.
What are the hand signals used if you need to use the restroom, get a drink of water, or go to the nurse?
The hand signal for the restroom is "r" in sign language, "w" in sign language for a drink of water, and a "cross" to go to the nurse.
What should you do every morning after you unpack?
Every morning after you unpack, you should read the Morning Message slide on the board.
What are Dojo Points?
Dojo Points are points given or taken away for behavior. They can be used to purchase a reward at the end of the month.
What happens the second time you chose to break a classroom expectation?
The second time you choose to break a classroom expectation, you receive a tally (worth 1 minute of your recess...tallies from teachers/specials are automatically 5 minutes).

What should you do if you finish your work early?
If you're done with an assignment, turn it in and check the board to see what is listed in the "May Do" section.
What day do we have library, and where should we stack our books that need to be returned?
We have library on Monday, and we should stack our books on the white shelf in the front of the classroom.
What is independent reading?
Independent reading is reading on your own silently.
What happens if you receive more than 5 tallies?
If you receive more than 5 tallies, and email or a phone call is made to your parents.
When can you use your iPad?
You can use your iPad after your work is complete, IF it's listed on the "May Do" section on the white board.
When are 2 times we are not in "line order"?
2 times we are not in "line order" are:
1. During drills (fire/lockdown/tornado)
2. Leaving chapel
What is the expectation whenever we line up?
The expectation whenever we line up is to stand at parade rest quietly (in line order).
What is the responsibility of the class commander?
The responsibility of the class commander is to show leadership by modeling appropriate behavior, leading the line, and serving his classmates and teacher.
What happens before we line up to leave the classroom?
Before we line up to leave the classroom, we clean off our desk, push in our chairs, make sure our shirts are tucked in, and stand at parade rest.
Where do you turn in completed assignments (papers), math books, and spelling/reading journals?
You turn in completed assignments (papers) to the "classwork rack". Math books and spelling/reading journals go on the back cabinet and are stacked by rows.

The 5 classroom rules are:
1. Be kind and follow directions right away
2. Keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself
3. Use hand signals
4. Respect classmates, teachers, and school
5. Do your best

Something you should do during a fire drill is:
1. Stop what you're doing
2. Listen to the teacher's instructions
3. Exit quickly and quietly
What is a referral?
A referral is note sent to parents, Sergeant Major, teachers, and Mr. Quick about a student's misbehavior.
What happens if I forget my homework on Friday?
How will the class know I need them to get quiet?
The class will know I need them to get quiet the moment I start talking. When I'm talking, all voice should be off.
