How should you enter the classroom?

How much reading is assigned every night?
You will be expected to read 30 minutes every night.
What does being safe mean?
Being safe means protecting your body and mind from harm, staying aware of your surroundings, and knowing how to problem solve.

Verbal Warning
When is it appropriate to get out of your seat?
When the teacher gives you permission
Where is homework assigned?
Homework will be assigned on Google Classroom.
What does it mean to be respectful?
Being respectful means treating others well, listening closely, and using kind words.
How often are you expected to be at school?
Every day from 8-2:16
What is the 2nd consequence for misbehavior?
Think sheet and/or student teacher conference
What should I do if I have a question or don't understand something?
Raise your hand quietly and wait to be called on

Math and reading homework
What does it mean to be responsible?
Responsible means being accountable for actions or having the duty to take care of something.
What time should you be at school?
Early enough to ensure that you are in your seat when class begins at 8am.
What is the 3rd consequence for misbehavior?
diagnostic referral and your parent will be contacted
What do I do if I need to use the restroom?
If you need to use the restroom, please notify one of the teachers by raising your hand or quietly signaling. You will have two bathrooms pass per week. If the bathroom pass isn't used, you get to enter a raffle at the end of the week.
How do I know what I missed when I'm absent?
Check your Google Classroom assignments for the date/s you were absent.
What does it mean to be prepared?
Have the materials you need (pencils, workbooks, etc)
Completed homework from the day before
Show up every day ready to learn
Positive attitude
When can you use a cell phone or smart watch?
Outside of school hours. From 8-2:17, cellphones and smartwatches should be powered off and placed in your backpack. Cell phones may not be used during ANY part of the school day.
What is the 4th consequence for misbehavior?
Parent conference and/or office referral
How should I behave when I'm working in a group? (name 3 behaviors)
Participate
Complete your role in the group (recorder, speaker, timekeeper, writer, etc)

How long do I have to turn in an assignment when I'm absent?
You will have one day for every day you missed. One day absent = one day to turn it in, two days absent = two days to turn it in, etc.

Answering questions, participating, positive attitude, helping others, being kind
What is the dress code policy regarding shoes?
Appropriate shoes must be worn at all times.
What does each student have the opportunity to do each day?
Each student has the opportunity to start fresh each day.
