The first thing a student should do when entering class.

Students need these two things to leave the class.
Permission and an electronic pass.
This number of tardies equals one unexcused absence.

It is your responsiblility to do this if you are absent.
Ask what you missed.
Students should get their Chromebooks from the cart.
When the Agenda slide says the warm-up is on the computer.
These are the most appropriate times to leave class.
After the first 5 minutes, after direct instruction is over, and before the last five minutes.
Returning from the bathroom this many minutes late can result in a referral.

Schoology
Where backpacks are stored at the start of class.
What are the backpack tables.
The amount of time considered reasonable to be out with a bathroom pass.

As long as your absence was excused, you are entitled to this.
Extra time to complete it/extended deadline.
After students read that the warm-up is on paper, these actions should be taken.
Take writing utensils and other materials out of their backpacks and put the backpacks away.

The way students select Chromebooks to use.
Students will be assigned specific Chromebooks to use throughout the semester.
Leaving the room for this reason does NOT require a pass.
To get water, only if it's at the fountain near the art room.
