Less than 5 minutes.
What will happen if you are talking to a neighbor and your teacher has already given you a reminder?
Your teacher will ask to move your seat or your spot in line.
What are 2 things that will happen if we are not following voice level expectations?
1. Lose dojo points
2. We will not go to a level 0.
You are not completing work in class OR you are not handing in your homework. What will happen?
You will have a conversation with the teacher. Then, I will contact home to let your family know.
You have soccer practice after school on Thursday, so you cannot do your homework. What should you do?
Plan ahead! Do Thursday night's homework earlier in the week.
What should you be doing AFTER you get back from breakfast?
You are working quietly on your Candy Check in and morning work.
When moving on to the next class, what am I looking for to show your table is ready?
Everything is put away. Your things are stacked neatly on your desk. You are quietly waiting to be called.

What should you do during a lesson instead of coming up to the teacher?

Wait until that person returns. Then, show Ms. Guida the hand signal.
What happens if you don’t consistently write in your planner?
A call or message will be sent home.
What will happen if the class doesn’t follow hallway expectations?
We wait until everyone is quiet and "walking like a fifth grader," or you may be moved in line.
If a student chooses to do something inappropriate such as putting their hands on someone else or using bad language, what will happen?
Your teacher will call Mrs. Williams or Mrs. Parete and they will give you a consequence. (Call home, loss of recess.)
What does it look like to be following along in class?
Writing down notes, eyes on the speaker, looking at the text while someone reads.
A classmate is bothering you by tapping your chair and whispering to you while you're trying to work. What should you do?
Tell them to stop ONE TIME. If they do not listen, tell your teacher.
What are you doing first in the morning BEFORE heading to breakfast?
1) Unpack - planner, folder, accordion folder at your desk.
2) Get your chromebook.
What happens if we do not do a transition correctly? For example, when taking out a paper, students are talking to the person next to them.
We will practice the transition again.
What are the THREE consequences for making a poor choice? (What happens first, next, last?)
1. Warning/ Reminder of expectation
2. Private conversation / loss of recess to have a conversation
3. Call home
When is the best time to ask to use the bathroom or use the water fountain?
During transitions (switching classes) or before the lesson starts!
A classmate is trying to talk to you or make you laugh during a lesson. What should you do?
Ignore them and stay focused on the lesson. Tell them to stop if they continue.
