When can I use the cozy corner?
You can use the cozy corner when you are taking a break or need some time for peace and quiet. Please ask first, and remember, the cozy corner is not for schoolwork :)
What should I do when I get to class?
Put my things on my hook in the hall, get my bin or materials out from my bin, and sit at my desk to prepare for morning meeting.
How should I go to recess?
Wait for Miss Aura and line up together so we can go outside as a group :)
When can I use my own devices (cellphone, gaming consoles, laptops, etc)?
I can use my own devices only before school starts (8:30am) or after school ends (2:30pm). **There may be special Tech Days that will allow for personal devices, but Miss Hayley will announce this/reach out to your parents**

What should I do if I want to talk during class?
First ask yourself if what you want to say is on topic! If so, raise your hand and wait to be called on. If not, wait until the lesson ends or a more appropriate time to share your thought.
How should I ask for help?
Ask yourself first. Is there any information you know that can help you? Look around. Is the answer somewhere on the board? Ask a friend. If none of these are options for help, raise your hand to ask for help from a teacher :)
Do I have to go to recess?
Yes, it is incredibly important to get your physical exercise for the day! Get that Vitamin D!
How many times can I print during the school day?
Students can print only three times during the school day, unless told otherwise by Miss Hayley or Miss Aura.
How many bones do adult humans have?
206 (that's a lot of bonez)
Can I eat during class?
Our normal snack time is at 10, and lunch is at 12. If you need a snack outside of those times, you can ask to grab something from your lunch. If you forgot your lunch, please let a teacher know and we can help you find a snack.
How should I leave the room?
Raise your hand and ask first or let a teacher know if you need to leave to use the restroom, get some water, or grab something from your backpack. A teacher needs to know where you are at all times.
What should I bring outside to recess?
Bring yourself and appropriate outdoor wear (yes that means a coat in the wintertime because it's cold brrr!)
Can I use a classroom laptop or iPad whenever I want?
No, you must ask Miss Hayley or Miss Aura for permission to use a classroom laptop or iPad.

Can I go into the kitchen without permission?
You must have permission from a teacher to go into the kitchen, or to get a snack from the kitchen. Food and drinks in the kitchen are primarily for staff. In emergencies or special circumstances, we are able to provide students with snacks from the kitchen.
Can I bring my own electronics to school?
We allow electronics like phones and Switches on special occasion days, like the last day of school. Otherwise, we are an electronic free classroom.
What should I do right before recess time?
Clean up all Art materials and clear your desks.
When can we watch a TV Show or movie?
Occasionally, during lunch with Miss Aura but usually only during special days such as holiday parties.

By respecting others space, not touching others' things without asking, listening to others, taking turns and sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
How should I ask for a break?
You can show a break card, raise your hand and ask for a break, or simply say "I need a break".
How long is recess time?
Recess is 30 minutes long!
What should I wear when I am watching or listening to something with volume?
Headphones! Please and thank you!
