What do you need to have on your papers to turn them in? Where do the completed papers get turned in at?

You need to have your name and date on the paper. You put completed work in the turn it in bin at the front of the classroom.

What are the steps to following instructions?

Look at the person, say okay, and then do what has been asked right away.

What is the routine for putting your items in your locker in the morning?

Walk to the red door and ask for permission to go through. Then hang up book bags, coats, etc and shut the locker door.

How do you ask for a break?

Different ways each student.

Raise your hand and wait for the teacher to call on you. Then ask the teacher "Can I take a break please?" If the teacher says yes, then tell the teacher what kind of break you need.

Where does unfinished work or assignments go?

Unfinished work or assignments go in each students individual black bin at the front of the classroom on the yellow shelf.

How do we move around in the hallway?

If we are in a group we stand in a straight line and give the person in front of us personal space. We keep our hands by our sides, our voices off, and walk (heel to toe) around the school.

How do you get the teacher's attention?

Raise your hand, wait quietly until the teacher comes to you, then tell the teacher what you need.

What do we do for our morning routine? 

Different for each student.

Breakfast, Check in, Point sheet, Hygiene pack, and Break if needed.

Where are some of the places you can take a break at?

Sensory Room, Calm Corner, Second Classroom, Calm Down Room, At your Desk.

What do you need to do to walk through the red doors in the classroom?

If you want to walk through the two red doors in the classroom you need to ask for permission from a teacher. If you walk out of the red doors without permission you will be given an office referral.

What are the expectations for going through the breakfast or lunch line?

Stand in line giving the person in front of you personal space. Take off coats, hats, and gloves before going in the line. Grab your milk and then your tray. (Use manners and say thank you) Grab utensils and a napkin and then put in your lunch number.

How do we accept no?

We look at the person, say okay, move on to the next instruction given, and then ask questions later if you do not understand.

Hygiene Pack Routine?

Grab your hygiene pack from the red bin. Wait on the green line for a teacher to take you to use your hygiene pack. Brush your teach and apply deodorant. Then walk back into the room and zip up your pack and put it back in the red bin.

What does it mean when your break timer goes off?

The break is over. You need to get up right away and put away any items used during your break. If you need more break time ask the teacher for more time and wait for their answer.

How do we sit in our chairs appropriately?

Sit your bottom in the chair, your feet on the ground, and all four legs of the chair should be flat on the ground. Scoot your chair up to the table or desk and have your legs underneath the table or desk.

What is the appropriate way to use the school bathrooms? 

If you are with the class one person goes into the bathroom at a time. The other students should wait in a line at the wall. The student in the bathroom goes in uses the bathroom, flushes, washes their hands, dries their hands and then walk out and wait at the end of the line.

It is important to use your words and tell teachers how you are feeling or what you need, so they can help you. You are all amazing and intelligent students and you need to be able to advocate for yourself. When we use our words we get what is best for us! Keep talking you're all awesome!

How do you check out at the end of the day?

When the teacher calls on you bring your point sheet(s) to the teacher and count up your points with the teacher. When the point sheet is added up decide if you will be spending or saving points that day. Then complete the end of the day questions and I am statement. If you are going to the store wait for a teacher to bring you.

How do you get a snack when you are hungry?

Raise your hand and ask the teacher, "Can I have a snack please?" The teacher will give you the answer and then you will need to tell the teacher what kind of snack you want.

What does it mean to MYOB?

Mind Your Own Business.

Keep eyes on your own work or activity (grab MYOB sheet if needed, keep voice off, ignore all other distractions or behaviors in the room.

How do we give an appropriate apology? 

Look at the person and say, "I am sorry for... , Next time I will... Do you accept my apology?"

What do we do for the End of the Day Routine?

Walk to the counter and grab an MYOB sheet to complete. Sit at your desk (working on MYOB sheet) and wait to be called on to check out for the day. When called on bring your point sheet(s) to the teacher and check out. When you are done sit at your desk and wait to be dismissed to grab items from your locker. Wait at your desk again until teachers dismiss you to the store. Then sit at your desk until the bell rings.
