What can we do at recess?
Eat snack, talk with friends, and hands off play with friends.
What do you do if you have a question when the teacher is at small group?
Ask 3 before me! Ask 3 friends for help before asking the teacher.
Explain what you should do when Mrs. Potter plays the chimes or doorbell...
Stop what I'm doing, look at Mrs. Potter and stop talking. Silent room to hear next directions.
What does Independent time sound like?
Silent! Respectful of all learners. Whisper please if you need anything.
What are the rules about backpacks?
We can only use them at the beginning and end of the day. We need to keep our waters and lunches on the counter. Snacks on the counter too. Sweaters are kept at our seat.
What do you do if you finish your work early?
Read a book or go on to the next activity you have been assigned.
What should I do if I don't have a pencil?
Go get one from the pencil bucket or quietly ask your table partners if you can borrow a pencil.
How can you show the speaker that you are giving them your full attention?
Give 5...ears listening, eyes watching, hands and feet are still, mouth closed.
How do students respect other students things?
By not touching them or destroying them. If you want to borrow something or look at something, you need to ask nicely first. If they say no, respect their answer and ask someone else.
When can I use the bathroom?
Anytime except when the teacher is talking in front of the class. Use the cone system
How many people should be in the bathroom at one time?
ONE!
What do the numbers mean on our desks?
They are our roles. If Ms. Sousa says #4s get your group's textbooks that person follows directions.
Where should you put work that is not finished?
In your folders that should be coming soon
How do you know what to work on at the start of class?

When can I sharpen my pencil?
You can't. It is someones job at the end of the day.
Where can you turn in your work?
In the Turn In Tray near the front whiteboard.
What should you do if you are absent?
Check the absent bin for any missing papers. Ask your group what you missed
Where do you go for a fire drill?
Down the stairs and straight to the blacktop. Line up silently and wait for teacher to take attendance.
When can we use the calm corner?
When we are emotionally disregulated. Angry or Sad
