What should I do when I arrive at school?
Go to breakfast if you have not eaten (BEFORE you go to class). Head to class before or when the warning bell rings.
Do not go to class until the bell rings.
Enter the classroom quietly, unpack, and follow the directions on the board.
When should pencils be sharpened?
In the morning before the bell rings! Trade in your dull pencil for a sharpened pencil.
What is the expected behavior in the hallway?
2nd block from the wall
Facing forward, mouths closed
Hands behind back, by your side, or in pockets
How should I enter the cafeteria?
Walking feet, stay in line, walk all the way around to the lunch line or to our table
No more saving seats, drink water from the cafeteria
How should I swing?
Only forward and backward on our bottoms
No pushing each other, we are old enough to swing!
No spinning
No climbing up the poles
What are the 5 classroom rules?
Rule #1: Follow directions quickly.
Rule #2: Raise your hand for permission to speak.
Rule #3: Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.
Rule #4: Make smart choices.
Rule #5: Keep your dear teacher happy. :)
What should I do if I finish my work early?
Work on incomplete work or read quietly at my desk. Do not get up to get a new book without permission.
What happens if I get a compliment from another adult?
The lucky duck puts 10 beans in the jar!
20 beans if it's a principal or officer!
What should I do in the lunch line?
Pay attention, hands to self, quiet voices
Be respectful to the cafeteria workers, speak clearly, say please and thank you
How should I seesaw?
Sitting on my bottom
2 people per side
Facing forward
No pushing in the middle
What do we say when someone makes a mistake?
It's okay to make mistakes!
What are the lucky duck's jobs?
Line leader
Choose a door holder
Choose 2 helpers to help clean after lunch (1 sweep, 2 wipe tables)
Clean up after snack (choose a helper) (1 pass out wipes, 1 sweep!)
What if I see my friend or family member from another class?
Stay in my spot
Smile and wave quietly
Eat my lunch and use quiet voices to talk to the people close to me
NO PLAYING!
Where can I play?
Only where an adult can see me.
Not behind the buildings
Not on or under the bleachers
If the ball goes over the fence or behind a building, tell the teacher before going to get it.

Getting a compliment in the hallway. The entire class follows directions the first time they are given.

Do my business, wash my hands, and get out quickly! NO TALKING

Ask 3 friends
If they can't help, raise your hand to get the teacher's help
