What do you do if you experience a loose luer connection?

  • If a luer connection is loose during inspection inside of the BSC, replace the luer connection and hand tighten.
  • If a luer connection is loose outside of the BSC,  obtain a new tubing set and set aside the faulty kit for Miltenyi technical support.

What do you do if you experience an integrity test failure?

  • Check tubing is installed into the correct valves.
  • Check tubing is inserted into the valves correctly.
  • Check all luer connections are tight and secure.
  • Check clamps are connected to the correct line.
  • Check for kinks in the tubing set.
  • Check the pump can freely move clockwise and counterclockwise.
  • Ensure all valves are operating correctly.
  • If integrity test fails 2 times consecutively, remove and replace the tubing set with a new set (save the tubing set for Miltenyi technical support) and notify the system owner immediately.
