Typically follows state licensing or Club standards (often 1:15–1:20 depending on age group and/or grant). Ratios must be maintained at all times, including transitions and outdoor activities.
If attendance is not entered by Friday, what happens?
It impacts compliance, grant reporting, enrollment tracking, and funding accuracy. Delays can affect audits and reporting requirements.
Staff shares personal social media. Your responsibility?
It should be addressed and corrected. Personal social media connections with members aren’t allowed.

What is safe and welcomed?

Staff suspects abuse but hesitates. What is your responsibility?
We’re mandated reporters, so it needs to be reported right away following CPS and internal procedures. When in doubt, we report.
PTO shows negative balance. Should you approve?
No. PTO should not be approved if it creates a negative balance unless directed by HR or executive leadership. The Club Director must verify eligibility before approving.
Staff communicating too casually in front of parents. Action?
Provide coaching and redirect to professional tone. Club Directors must maintain professionalism in all public-facing interactions.

What is the BGCAA Staff Handbook?

No. Staff children need to be properly enrolled and follow the same process as any other member. We can’t make exceptions.
