What causes and what are the signs and treatment of hypoglycemia (insulin shock)?

The condition occurs when there is too much insulin in the body due to failure to take medication, failing to eat, heavy exercise/emotional factors. Fast breathing, fast pulse, dizziness, weakness, change in the level of consciousness, vision difficulties, sweating, headache, numb hands or feet, hand tremors, hunger, and disorientation/confusion. When in doubt give sugar quickly- candy, fruit juice, soda, but NOT chocolate or diet drinks.
