The educator, a high school teacher and cheer coach, violated the school district’s code of conduct when she allowed a company owned and operated by her and her husband to provide cheer team services and accept reimbursement from a school booster club, in violation of the school district’s policy against it. Her husband received approximately $15,000.
What is remunerative conduct or Standard 6?
My student was very upset, so I asked him to step into the nearest restroom to chat. I did not want him to feel embarrassed in front of his peers. This was okay for the sake of the student's emotional well being.
What is false? Be sure to always choose an appropriate setting when engaging in 1:1 conversation with a student or students. Always select a public space where cameras are visible.
