False -you can submit manually however you rarely need to do so.

Assuming the submission ran through AP successfully, where do you find the external ID if it did not scrape back?
If the External ID did not scrape, go back to Autopilot and click on the second to last link (ending in .html)
Right click in anywhere on the screen in the new window and click ‘Inspect’
Command search for “0000” - filter through matches and find the 14 digit number that begins with “130000”
