When going through treatment for something (such as cancer) certain foods can be associated with the treatment so the patient is given a specific food so they associate that food with the treatment instead of other foods

It's an active form of learning- an association is made between a stimulus and a voluntary response

No, taste/smell can be associated with nausea but not sound

The compensatory response (to maintain homeostasis)

It's a stimulus that produces a reflexive response
